President’s Report

October 2023

No major projects occurred during the calendar year 2023.  However, numerous small projects were completed.  For example:

·  The spa was totally resurfaced, pool concrete repairs were made, and the spa heater pump was replaced   

·  Pool chairs and tables were purchased

·  Numerous diseased and decayed trees were removed

·  Road and pothole repairs were made

·  Lane and directional striping of some roads were done, particularly at the East and West gates

·  DVR’s and cameras were updated when possible, and additional cameras were purchased

·  Boulders were added to newly landscaped areas in Block 9 to deter members driving vehicles and golf carts on park walking paths

·  The Golf Drive/Coronado median was xeriscaped

·  New neighborhood signage was donated to the HOA

·  Mandated Madera County daily pool testing was instituted

·  Dilapidated and embarrassing median signs were removed

·  Rodent control was instituted and goose deterrent was applied in common areas

·  Due to a Board member moving, a new Board member was seated in August

Additionally, the Board routinely handles common issues on a day-to-day basis.  As President, I routinely spend about 25 hours per week on Greenhills business.

The Board continues working with an insurance-appointed attorney concerning a case filed against the 2017 Board and particular board members and management from that time.  Once this case is settled, the community will be notified.  

Additionally, the Association is involved in legal discussions concerning real estate issues. 

Multiple townhalls concerning security, budget, lakes and wells were held in late 2022 and throughout 2023.  

My sincere thanks to all Board and Committee members this past year for their service, their insights, their dedication and their support of Greenhills and of me personally.
